The built-in intelligence delivers within the work center facilitate the multitasking very easy and seamless without losing focus. The system guides the user on their work priorities and helps them resolve exceptions and bottlenecks quickly. WorkCenters can be cross-functional and are highly configurable. Based on the user roles and permissions the user the WorkCenters will deliver a personalized content to the users. The WorkCenter combines transactions, analytics, workflow notifications, and reports into a configurable framework that can be tailored to each role-based user in the enterprise. The WorkCenters were designed for areas with high-volume users, such as a Billing or Payables clerk in the Financials department, so that users gain greater productivity and spend less time navigating the system and dealing with exceptions. PeopleSoft WorkCenters simplify the process and reduce the time and effort it takes to perform a business process.
The WorkCenters delivered within PeopleSoft 9.2 leverage the PeopleTools WorkCenter framework and Applications WorkCenter framework. PeopleSoft 9.2 delivered preconfigured WorkCenters with a set of pagelets and links. You can easily add more pagelets and use the delivered framework to personalize the look and feel of the pagelets.
