Since the initial investment in PeopleSoft in 2005, Oracle continues to show an unwavering commitment to PeopleSoft application, continuing to offer industry-leading features and functionality. While Oracle continues to invest in PeopleSoft, there are certain areas of focus that Oracle will continue to invest in. Here are the top four current areas of PeopleSoft investment, including PeopleSoft on Oracle Cloud, Fluid User Interface, Search through Elasticsearch and Selective Adoption.

With PeopleSoft Selective Adoption in PeopleSoft 9.2, major application upgrades are now a thing of the past. PeopleSoft Selective Adoption provides a new approach to application life cycle management. PeopleSoft Selective Adoption offers customers new features and functionality on a continuous delivery model. Customers can choose only the changes they want and decide when to apply them, giving them control over their application and maintenance strategy. Part 2 of 2—Oracle recently released PeopleSoft FSCM Update Image 22 through the PeopleSoft Update Manager. Using Selective Adoption, organizations can choose the features within this 9.2 Update Image they would like to take and when they would like to apply them. In Update Image 22, PeopleSoft has enhanced many features such as expanding Fluid Payment Request with Simplified Analytics and adding a Quick-Fill option for Fluid Expense reports. Oracle recently released PeopleTools 8.55. PeopleTools 8.55 offers users valuable enhancements in functionality as well as new features. Two of the top offerings in PeopleTools 8.55 include enhnacements in the Fluid User Interface as well as the new PeopleSoft Cloud Architecture (PCA). With enhancements in the Fluid UI, users will be able to access PeopleSoft applications from anywhere on mobile devices. With PCA, PeopleTools 8.55 provides new levels of automation to reduce operating costs and allow organizations to migrate their business processes to the cloud.

This year at Oracle OpenWorld, Ataway's Director of Alliance and Strategy Frederic Portal participated in a panel discussion organized by Oracle's Senior Director of Product Strategy Marc Weintraub. The panel discussed PeopleSoft's Selective Adoption using the PeopleSoft Upgrade Manager (PUM), allowing organizations to take only the changes they want, when they want, without needing continuous and costly upgrades. Weintraub presents four strategic objectives for PeopleSoft moving forward including enhancements for Fluid UI, increased application personalization, greater application functionality and PUM.
