The PeopleSoft Mobile Company Directory demonstrates Oracle’s investment in more mobile-based applications. Both the tablet and smartphone provide quick and easy access to contact information, allowing users to directly communicate with people in the organization while on the go. The Mobile Company Directory, which was introduced in 9.1, only requires PeopleTools 8.52 for its use. If your Organization is already in 9.1, you can definitely leverage this application without doing any upgrade. If you are upgrading to PeopleSoft 9.2, you should look at the other mobile application available. Like the predecessor PeopleSoft Mobile application, Mobile Company Directory is based on HTML5 and CSS3. Both solutions do not require downloads but are accessible via standard login and provide a user experience tailored to the user’s specific device. PeopleSoft also leverages Single Sign On (SSO) in these applications.
