PeopleSoft Fluid Matrix Management now provides self-service tools for not only administrators, but also managers and employees, to create and manage matrix teams of employees through the Fluid navigation paradigm. The matrix teams designate the reporting structure, or teams, the employee belongs to as well as who they report to. Matrix teams can be cross-functional or cross-business group, along with other reporting arrangements. Users can access the Matrix teams by navigating to the Fluid Employee Self Service Homepage and selecting the “Manage Matrix Team” title. The Manage Matrix Teams page appears, showing all of the matrix teams the user owns. Users can easily find employees to add as matrix team members or change the team ownership to another employee. Here are the top 7 benefits of the PeopleSoft Fluid Matrix Management feature.

Unlike the previous Fluid Approval release, the approvals are now completely configurable by the customer organization, allowing organizations to build in the necessary levels of control to track key business processes while meeting regulatory requirements. Customers can build their own approvals without resorting to a customization using the Page Composer. With the new Fluid Approval functionality, users can complete line level approvals, create or view a comment, see any attachments and see the ChartField and accounting information.

Not only do PeopleSoft applications cut down on time and costs required to complete business activities, they also aid in content organization and allow users to quickly find the information they are looking for as well. One key way PeopleSoft applications allow users to find information and navigate through the applications easier is through Navigation Collections. Navigation Collections are “taxonomies,” or organizational systems, used to group information found within the PeopleSoft portal registry. By group together content via a group of links, PeopleSoft makes it easy to tailor, or configure, the links to reflect a certain user’s job role. Navigation time is significantly reduced. Discover more about how your organization can utilize and build Fluid Navigation Collections.
