Collaborate's opening reception.

The COLLABORATE 14 – OAUG Forum kicked off Monday with education sessions and networking events. The annual event features applications, technology and professional development sessions for users of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)Fusion Applications, Hyperion, Primavera EPPM, EBS Extensions for Endeca and the Customer Experience, including CRM On Demand and Siebel CRM. The OAUG Forum explores BI and EPM, upgrades, support, CRMfinancialsHCM, co-existence with Fusion, application strategy and more.

During the first day of the event, participants had the opportunity to meet with Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Oracle representatives to discuss topics surrounding their product line and how they could influence future releases. Most of Quest’s education sessions on the first day of COLLABORATE 14 were packed! Participants not only had the chance to sit in on sessions about PeopleSoft, EBS, Fusion, but also technological meetings with the BPMSOA and Fusion toolsets. Are you at the conference but unable to attend any of the SIG meetings? If so, we encourage you to take a look at the various groups offered by Quest or by OAUG. There you’ll find a groups for specific industries, professional roles and product lines. Those groups will provide you the opportunity access specialized content and network with other users. These groups are a direct line for your organization to get your voice heard by Oracle so that they can enhance the products and you can get rid of any customizations in a future upgrade.

As always, PeopleSoft will have a strong presence at COLLABORATE. The vast majority of session content for PeopleSoft is delivered through the Quest International Users Group with over 170 PeopleSoft-centric sessions planned.  That includes over 60 PeopleSoft customer-led sessions and more than 45 Oracle-led sessions.  Leaders from Oracle’s PeopleSoft product management and development team will be on hand to deliver updates on the investment strategy for PeopleSoft applications as well as the value PeopleSoft applications that can deliver to customers.

Ataway presented two sessions yesterday: "The Seven Habit of a Successful Upgrade" and "Finance Transformation." We had great attendance and would like to thank everyone for all the great questions.
